Suzy Olsen is the owner and award-winning designer of Olsen Interior Design. Several years ago, she fell in love with the beautiful town of Astoria, Oregon. The old Victorian homes, the misty mornings, the fresh sea breeze air, and the rich history all drew her to making Astoria her home. In 2016, she opened her housewares retail store ‘Chariot’ and interior design studio in the historic Astor building in downtown Astoria.

Since opening her own studio in 2016, she has completed several projects for Windermere Realty on the Oregon coast, Portland and Seattle areas. She has also designed successful local businesses such as Blaylock’s Whiskey Bar, an award-winning bar in Astoria. Her residential projects, big and small, are located in Astoria and the surrounding northwest region of Oregon.

Beginning in 2003, she worked at world-class architecture and interior design firms in Portland, Oregon. She worked with such notable clients as Nike, Google, OHSU and Columbia Sportswear. She quickly learned expertise in space planning, sustainable design, and how to run projects of various sizes.

Suzy is known for her clever design solutions and keen technical expertise in both commercial and residential projects. Her passion is in the creative design process and helping her clients realize their dreams for their homes and businesses.

When not in the studio, you can find Suzy hiking the coastal trails and beaches with her husband and two corgis.
